Sewing resolutions are much easier to keep in comparison to standard New Years resolutions. My plans are more for everyday items than special occaison, which suits me fine! Following along with the #2017makenine hashtag, my nine pieces from top left to bottom right will be:
- Colette Laurel hack
- Replica COS dress used Named Clothing's Helmi Tunic Dress
- Mitchell jumpsuit by Paddleboat Studio
- Wanderlust Tee
- Ginger Jeans
- Ogden Camisole
- Neenah T-Shirt by Seamwork
- Morskosegenser Jumper
- Port Trousers
Most of these are straightforward projects. The Ginger Jeans are the major exception to this, but to be able to make a good fitting pair of jeans (preferrably in an organic fabric) would quite simply be amazing. I've got my eye on some stretch denim and have already got a hold of some denim buttons and Prym's Vario pliers for setting in rivets/ making holes etc. easier.
And to state the obvious, the Morskosegenser isn't a sewn item - but I think it'll be a well-worn item and I've already begun knitting. It'll help tide me over until the warm weather items need cutting out and sewing up.
